tira brine-andrews
Tira Brine-Andrews founded The Tulsi Trust out of compassion and love for her fellow human beings. As Chair to the Board of Trustees she was the main driving force behind the Trust and she dedicated many years of her life to ensure that the health and education project in the Indian jungle continuously evolved.
In India, Tira was very well known, deeply loved, and regarded with great gratitude by all the villagers in the local area, as well as in Barda, Kapsi and Pakhanjore.
She travelled throughout the area with Sri Vinod Vihari Goswami, and later with Sri Rashmay Das, helping many people with all manner of illnesses. People called her Dr. Tira for this reason.
Her dedication and passion to help others inspired many throughout the years, and it is because of this passion and contagious enthusiasm that we are here today, making a difference to the lives of thousands of Bengali refugees and local Adivasi villagers that Tira set out to help when The Tulsi Trust was formed.
