After a quiet few weeks during India's lockdown period, we have now been able to take up our medical work again.
Our tribal healthcare project is our main focus at this time. It includes daily rounds around different villages, offering health checks, medicine, supplements, and advice to local tribal villagers.

The ambulance service has been very busy all throughout this period, as private vehicles and public transport were not allowed to travel for a while in this area. This made even more people than usual rely on our ambulance for transport to clinics and hospitals in the city.
As a result, our trusty 4x4 now urgently needs a set of new tyres. If you feel support financing this, please click the donate button below.
Like many other charities, we are struggling to make ends meet in this difficult time. Many of our most reliable supporters have had to cut their spending, leaving us without sufficient funding.
Every little bit helps, so we are appealing to your kindness in this time of need and hope that you will support our work.

In addition to tribal healthcare, maternity checkups, and other routine proceedings, the team are now focusing on Corona education for the public. Many of the villagers have little to no knowledge and understanding of the outside world. However, there have been confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the area, so we have to try and make sure all possible measures are taken.
Our team inform people about measures like hand washing and social distancing.

We are also trying to come up with realistic and practical measures to help support everybody's immune system in these times. One way we do this is by encouraging people to diversify their diet, especially with fresh local fruit, which is in season right now. Many houses have lemon trees in their gardens, and other produce like jackfruit and dates. They contain different vitamins and other beneficial elements like potassium that make them very beneficial, especially when added to the relatively simple diet that most locals sustain themselves on.
We hope that you and yours are safe and well in these difficult times!
We appreciate that we all are struggling with uncertainty and loss right now. But we are convinced that it is in times like these where it is most important to look out for those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
If you can spare a pound or two, we urge you to support us in helping one of India's poorest and most disadvantaged community through our work.
