If you are following us on facebook or twitter, you might have seen posts every now and again, mentioning something called "Give as You Live".
Because the concept of this website might need a little bit of explanation to begin with, but it is such an effortless way to raise donations for charitable causes, we've decided to write this little post to hopefully help you understand and get started with collecting funds.

Essentially, Give as You Live is a website, where you sign up for an account, then choose a charity that you want to support. (This charity will need to have an account on the Give as You Live website, but there are thousands to choose from).
Every time you shop online with most big online retailers, you can activate Give as You Live in your browser (it also works on your phone), and the website will donate a percentage of what you have spent to your chosen charity.

You can see in the screenshot above, that there are a lot of popular online shops that are part of Give as You Live.
So if you do shopping online, it really makes sense to spend a bit of time to set up your account, then the donations will be made with no extra effort or cost to you.

This supporter has raised almost £4 for The Tulsi Trust with online purchases.
This might not seem like much, but you have to remember that all donations are sent directly to our field projects in India, where every little bit can go a long way.
For example, £4 can pay for four malaria blood tests, so can potentially save four people's lives. That's not a bad result for a bit of online shopping don't you think?
