All children love adventures, and wild play and daring deeds are a natural part of growing up. But sometimes things can go wrong, and a game turns into a drama.

On this fateful day, Dev was out exploring with some friends, and they decided to climb a tree.
Neither Dev nor his friends were able to explain what exactly happened, but somehow, Dev hurt his eye with a pointy branch of the tree.
His parents rushed the little boy to the Tulsi Trust jungle clinic, where the doctors realised immediately, that he needed special care if the eye was to be saved.

Volunteer ambulance driver Amal took Dev to the hospital in Raipur - a journey of several hours.
Thanks to the generous support of the hospital staff, Dev's eyesight was saved and he is now back home and well.

Work like this would not be possible without our staff and volunteers, who work tirelessly to make the clinic more known and trusted by locals, without the support of specialists in the hospitals in bigger cities, who are ready to take special care of urgent cases like Dev - who had to travel 6 hours to Raipur in our ambulance in order to be treated.
And it would not be possible without the love and support of you, dear friends from all over the world, who make sure that our work can continue.
