At the end of May, a cyclone hit the jungle area of Chhattisgarh, Central India, where our charity base and school are located.
The ashram buildings were badly damaged by falling trees, and the school dining hall and bus shelter had the roofs blown off them.

The repair works had to get under way as fast as possible, as the monsoon season was looming with torrential rains that might damage the vulnerable buildings further.
We asked our supporters to help fund the cost for the repairs.

Thanks to the kind donations of the community, we were able to send enough money to India to pay for materials and work forces. The team in India employed mostly local craftsmen and labourers, so the donations indirectly benefited the local community that our charity supports.
