Another one of our snapshot posts showing you an array of little moments in Chhattisgarh, India, the centre of our charity projects.
We strive to hold specialised Mother and Baby clinics once a month in different locations around the area.
Nimai, who grew up in Chhattisgarh, has been volunteering with The Tulsi Trust for a long time and has been Jamkhed trained in practical medical skills.
The long term aim of The Tulsi Trust is to empower the local population and foster independence and resourcefulness. The opportunity for training, education, and practical experience for local young people is a vital part of working towards these goals.

We are not always able to fix everything. A local woman has been brought to our hospital after what the staff supposed to be a stroke. Her husband was not able to tell us how long ago the incident happened, but it was clear that she had been suffering from the symptoms for a while.
Sadly, there was not much our team could do for her at this point. She passed away a few hours after arriving at the clinic.

This gentleman lost his leg in an accident a while ago. He came to have a checkup and when asked why he was not wearing the prosthetic leg that The Tulsi Trust had provided for him, admitted that it was "rubbing him a little", so he only wore it for special occasions.
Sometimes, local craftsmanship still trumps what we might think is superior technology.
